Bookham, Inc. was a telecommunications equipment company that specialized in the design, development, and manufacturing of optical components and subsystems used in fiber optic communication networks. The company was founded in the UK in 1988 and had its headquarters in San Jose, California.

In 2009, Bookham merged with another optical components company, Avanex Corporation, to form a new company called Oclaro, Inc. Oclaro continued to focus on the development of optical components for high-speed communications networks, and in 2018, it was acquired by Lumentum Holdings Inc., a leading provider of photonics products for the telecom, datacom, and consumer markets.
