General Description
The EMP202 is a 2 channel, 20-bit DAC and 20-bit ADC, full duplex AC97 2.2 compatible stereo audio CODEC designed for PC multimedia systems, including soft/host audio and riser card based designs. The EMP202 incorporates proprietary converter technology. The EMP202 AC97 CODEC supports with independent variable hardware sampling rates. The EMP202 CODEC provides two pairs of stereo outputs with independent volume controls, a mono output, a headphone output, and multiple stereo and mono inputs, along with flexible mixing, gain and mute functions to provide a complete integrated audio solution for PCs. The EMP202 CODEC operates from a 3.3V power supply with EAPD (External Amplifier Power Down) control for use in notebook and PC applications.
