Chip Function Description
The XPT4871 is a bridge-tied load (BTL) audio power amplifier. At a 5V operating voltage, it delivers a maximum output power of 3W (LLP package, 3Ω BTL load, THD < 10%), with Total Harmonic Distortion plus Noise (THD+N) of less than 1% across the audio frequency range (20Hz–20kHz).
The XPT4871 features a simple application circuit requiring minimal external components.
Its output stage eliminates the need for external coupling capacitors, bootstrap capacitors, or snubber networks.
Available in MSOP, SOP, DIP, and LLP packages, the XPT4871 is ideally suited for compact, lightweight portable systems.
It supports a shutdown mode to reduce power consumption.
The device includes an internal thermal shutdown protection mechanism.
The XPT4871 offers stable operation with a gain-bandwidth product of 2.5MHz and is unity-gain stable. The voltage gain can be adjusted via external resistors, facilitating ease of application.
