Description
The IP5303 is a multifunctional power management SoC that integrates a boost converter, lithium battery charge management, and battery level indication, providing a complete power solution for power banks.
Its high level of integration and rich feature set minimize the need for external components, effectively reducing the overall solution size and Bill of Materials (BOM) cost.
The IP5303 achieves both buck and boost functions using a single inductor.
The DC-DC converter operates at 350 kHz, allowing for the use of low-cost inductors and capacitors.
The synchronous boost system delivers a maximum output current of 1.0 A with an efficiency of up to 91%. It automatically enters sleep mode under no-load conditions, reducing quiescent current to approximately 50 µA.
Utilizing switching charging technology, the IP5303 provides a maximum battery charging current of 1.2 A with up to 93% charging efficiency; it intelligently adjusts the charging current based on internal IC temperature and input voltage.
The IP5303 supports battery level indication using one or two LEDs.
The IP5303 is available in an eSOP8L package.
