Application Notes

1. Do not mount the sensor directly perpendicular to shiny surfaces;

position it at approximately 15 angle in relation to the sensing

target.

2. Minimize web or product "flutter" whenever possible to maximize

sensing reliability. Position sensor near a roller if possible.

3. The lens may be installed in either of the two lens ports. The lens

port cap must be installed on the unused port for reliable operation.

Required Overcurrent Protection

WARNING: Electrical connections must be made

by qualified personnel in accordance with local

and national electrical codes and regulations.

Overcurrent protection is required to be provided by end product application

per the supplied table.

Overcurrent protection may be provided with external fusing or via Current

Limiting, Class 2 Power Supply.
