12NC INFORMATION FOR HISTORICAL CODING REFERENCE

The resistors have a 12-digit numeric code starting with 23

For 5 % tolerance:

• The next 7 digits indicate the resistor type and packing

• The remaining 3 digits indicate the resistance value:

- The first 2 digits indicate the resistance value

- The last digit indicates the resistance decade

For 1 % tolerance:

• The next 6 digits indicate the resistor type and packing

• The remaining 4 digits indicate the resistance value:

- The first 3 digits indicate the resistance value

- The last digit indicates the resistance decade

12NC Example

The 12NC for resistor type PR02 with Cu leads and a value

of 750

 with 5 % tolerance, supplied on a bandolier of

1000 units in ammopack, is: 2306 198 53751.
