D.1

How to use the security service

The MIB modem configuration (MIB table index 00h) must be configured in SS_Layer

(value: 2) to use the security service.

If the ST7580 is not configured in SS_Layer, the ST7580 PLM can send a security data but

it cannot receive any security data.

Example of MIB modem configuration to use the security

service

In the system configuration phase, the following instruction has to be used:
