For use in long haul applications requiring

buffered trans mit signal. The active trans mitter

acts as a buffer. It reconditions the signal to the

appropriate drive level. Trans mitter output signal

level is 1100 mV mini mum.

The transceiver type (passive/short haul or active/long haul) is based on the cable insertion loss (attenuation) for the

length of cable in question. Pulse Components Division recommends the product type/cable length combinations listed

below. Specific models recommended as examples are based on installation/use within 1 Gbaud /150 ohm systems.
