106 / 126 page  Commands codes M24LR64-R 106/126 Doc ID 15170 Rev 8 26.20 Fast Read Multiple Block On receiving the Fast Read Multiple Block command, the M24LR64-R reads the selected blocks and sends back their value in multiples of 32 bits in the response. The blocks are numbered from '00h to '7FFh' in the request and the value is minus one (–1) in the field. For example, if the “number of blocks” field contains the value 06h, 7 blocks are read. The maximum number of blocks is fixed to 32 assuming that they are all located in the same sector. If the number of blocks overlaps sectors, the M24LR64-R returns an error code. The Protocol_extention_flag should be set to 1 for the M24LR64-R to operate correctly. If the Protocol_extention_flag is at 0, the M24LR64-R answers with an error code. The Option_flag is supported. The data rate of the response is multiplied by 2.
