Coefficient write control register (0x4C)
Coefficients for EQ and Bass Management are handled internally in the STA321MP via
RAM. Access to this RAM is available to the user via an I2C register interface.
A collection of I2C registers are dedicated to this function. One contains a coefficient base
address, five sets of three store the values of the 24-bit coefficients to be written or that were
read, and one contains bits used to control the write of the coefficient(s) to RAM. The
following are instructions for reading and writing coefficients.

Reading a coefficient from RAM
1.
Write the top 2 bits of the address to I2C register 0x3B
2.
Write the bottom 8 bits of the address to I2C register 0x3C
3.
Read the top 8 bits of the coefficient from I2C address 0x3D
4.
Read the middle 8 bits of the coefficient from I2C address 0x3E
5.
Read the bottom 8 bits of the coefficient from I2C address 0x3F

1.
Write the top 2 bits of the address to I2C register 0x3B
2.
Write the bottom 8 bits of the address to I2C register 0x3C
3.
Read the top 8 bits of the coefficient from I2C address 0x3D
4.
Read the middle 8 bits of the coefficient from I2C address 0x3E
5.
Read the bottom 8 bits of the coefficient from I2C address 0x3F
6.
Read the top 8 bits of coefficient b2 from I2C address 0x40
7.
Read the middle 8 bits of coefficient b2 from I2C address 0x41
8.
Read the bottom 8 bits of coefficient b2 from I2C address 0x42
9.
Read the top 8 bits of coefficient a1 from I2C address 0x43
10. Read the middle 8 bits of coefficient a1 from I2C address 0x44
11. Read the bottom 8 bits of coefficient a1 from I2C address 0x45
12. Read the top 8 bits of coefficient a2 from I2C address 0x46
