While the P9235A-R is in the power transfer stage, it monitors the input current, through the voltage across the input current sense resistor. If the input current goes above the programmed threshold, the P9235A-R will shut down for 5 minutes, and then re-try through digital pings. If the receiver condition remains the same for 5 more minutes, the P9235A-R will continue the periodic analog pings only (no digital pings). If the receiver is removed, or the input power is cycled, the P9235A-R will restart digital pings immediately. The ILIM pin voltage selects the input current limit through a voltage divider connected to LDO18. Table 9 shows options for 1, 2, and 3W systems, given minimum expected efficiencies. The default value input current limit is 1.25A. The default value occurs when ILIM pin is connected to GND via a 47 kΩ resistor. |
