8. Temperature Sensor Nonlinearity

Temperature sensor nonlinearity can vary depending on the type of calibration and the selected calibration points. It is highly recommended

that a temperature calibration is done with calibration points at least 20°C apart from each other. Figure 8.1 and Figure 8.2 show the resulting

nonlinearity error for the full temperature range (-20°C to 125°C) using the optimal calibration points, 0°C and 100°C for a first-order fit and -

20°C, 40°C, and 100°C for a second-order fit.
