Volition™ Installation Indoor/Outdoor

Cable, 50/125/250µm

Description

The Volition Indoor / Outdoor fibre

optic cable includes both horizon-

tal and backbone cable with eit-

her 50/125µm, 62,5/125µm mul-

timode or 9/125µm singlemode

fibre.

The primary application of the

cable is for indoor and outdoor

installations into cable trays or

ducts in LAN’s. All cable sheaths

are LSZH (low smoke zero halo-

gen) rated to fulfill the safety

requirements for internal cabling.

All cable variants have good resistance to water. The cable core is

water resistant which is achieved by a combination of an expanding

tape and gel filled tubes allowing for the cables to be installed in

areas where water within ducts is a possibility.

Each category of Volition Indoor / Outdoor cable is available in fibre

counts ranging from 2 to 144 fibres.

Other constructions are available upon request.

Indoor / Outdoor Cable

Highlights:

• Cable construction fully dielectric for immunity against

lightning

•All tubes containing fibres are gel filled for protection

against water

• The cable core is protected against water ingress by an

expanding tape.

•UVstabilised sheath makes the cable suitable for external

use

•Fibres are colour coded for fast installation and

organisation

• Operational temperature for 2 to 24 fibre cables:

-30°C to 60°C; max attenuation variation is 0.5 dB/km

(up to the max specified value - Aramid yarn only)

• Operational temperature for 48 to 144 fibre cables:

-40°C to 60°C; max attenuation variation is 0.1 dB/km

(up to the max specified value)
