Volition™ Media-Converter

Description

Volition media converters allow simple and cost effective use-

age of existing network equipment (fitted with RJ45 connectors

for copper wiring) with fibre optic cables. The Volition media

converter converts a twisted pair signal into the corresponding

optical signal.

The media converters are available as either a compact stand

alone item for installation in the work place or as a 19" version

with 12 and 24 x VF-45 (10 Mb/s) for rack mounting in

distribution areas.

Highlights:

•IEEE 802.3/802.3u and 802.3z compliant

• 32 bit bus mastering (10 and 100Mb/s cards)

• Most common operating systems supported
