In CPU and VR11 mode the soft-start programmed voltage is VBOOT; the output voltage is

driven to the VIDs programmed voltage value only after TBOOT delay. When the VR11

mode is selected the CLKEN# signal is not used as the output but only as the input pin.

Figure 6 and Figure 7 show the different turn-on behavior for GFX mode and CPU/VR11

mode.

When the COREON control pin is pulled down or the shut-down VIDs sequence is selected,

VID[0,...,6]=[1111111], the turn-off sequence is performed. In order to avoid the output

voltage going under ground, the output capacitor is discharged through a dedicated 7

Ω

(typ.) internal discharge MOSFET, connected between the VOUT and SGND pins. When

VOUT voltage is lower than 100 mV the low-side external MOSFET is turned on. See

Figure 18 and Figure 19 for the soft-end waveform details.
