3.4.4. Basic MDB Configuration

With the parameters described in Table 3–12, the Mic-

ronas Dynamic Bass system (MDB) can be custom-

ized to create different bass effects as well as to fit the

MDB to various loudspeaker characteristics. The easi-

est way to find a good set of parameter is by selecting

one of the settings below, listening to music with strong

bass content and adjusting the MDB parameters:

– MDB_STR: Increase/decrease the strength of the

MDB effect

– MDB_HAR: Increase/decrease the content of low

frequency harmonics

– MDB_FC: Shift the MDB effect to lower/higher fre-

quencies

– MDB_SHAPE: Widen/narrow MDB frequency range

(which results in a softer/harder bass sound), turn

on/off the MDB
