A12 08/04/2020 8.31 READ DEVICE MANUFACTURER AND DEVICE ID OPERATION (RDMDID, 90h) The Read Device Manufacturer and Device ID (RDMDID) instruction allows the user to read the Manufacturer and product ID of devices. Refer to Table 8.5 Product Identification for Manufacturer ID and Device ID. The RDMDID instruction code is followed by two dummy bytes and one byte address (A7~A0), each bit being latched-in on SI during the rising edge of SCK. If one byte address is initially set as A0 = 0, then the Manufacturer ID is shifted out on SO with the MSB first followed by the Device ID (ID7- ID0). Each bit is shifted out during the falling edge of SCK. If one byte address is initially set as A0 = 1, then Device ID will be read first followed by the Manufacturer ID. The Manufacturer and Device ID can be read continuously alternating between the two until CE# is driven high.
