The first byte of the EEPROM is compared to the mask 55h and if not a match, the TUSB4041I device aborts the EEPROM load and executes with the register defaults. 8.5.3 Vendor ID LSB Register Offset = 1h, reset = 51h Figure 4. The value may be overwritten to indicate a customer vendor ID. This field is R/W unless the OTP ROM VID and OTP ROM PID values are non- zero.
