1015 / 1158 page  Section 22 Clock Pulse Generator Rev.1.00 Jun. 07, 2006 Page 963 of 1102 REJ09B0294-0100 22.2 Oscillator Clock pulses can be supplied by connecting a crystal resonator, or by input of an external clock. 22.2.1 Connecting Crystal Resonator A crystal resonator can be connected as the example in figure 22.2. Select the damping resistance R d according to table 22.2. An AT-cut parallel-resonance type should be used. When providing the clock from the crystal resonator, the frequency should be in the range of 8 to 18 MHz.
