Note that, when exiting and then re-entering fast latch mode (SFL pin), the internal state machine resumes where it left off and not at the start index. If a new start index is programmed, it may be necessary to sequence through a number of states from the point at which the state machine left off. This action is necessary for a positive incremental direction.
