To avoid deviation errors use a Baud rate crystal (providing a multiple of the ASC0 sampling frequency) 14.4 High speed synchronous serial interfaces The High-Speed Synchronous Serial Interfaces (SSC0 and SSC1) provides flexible high- speed serial communication between the ST10F276Z5 and other microcontrollers, microprocessors or external peripherals. The SSCx supports full-duplex and half-duplex synchronous communication. The serial clock signal can be generated by the SSCx itself (master mode) or be received from an external master (slave mode). Data width, shift direction, clock polarity and phase are programmable. This allows communication with SPI-compatible devices. Transmission and reception of data is double-buffered. A 16-bit Baud rate generator provides the SSCx with a separate serial clock signal. The serial channel SSCx has its own dedicated 16-bit Baud rate generator with 16-bit reload capability, allowing Baud rate generation independent from the timers. Table 57 and Table 58 list some possible Baud rates against the required reload values and the resulting bit times for 40 MHz and 64 MHz CPU clock respectively.
