Random/sequential Read mode initialization: Microcontroller I2C establishes the communication: START condition. 2. Microcontroller I2C sends the slave address, in Write mode, on the I2C bus to check if the slave is online (1st frame). 3. Microcontroller I2C sends the register address start point, which sets the first register to read in sequence (2nd frame). 4. Microcontroller I2C finishes the communication: STOP condition. 5. Microcontroller I2C sends the slave address, in Read mode, on the I2C bus to check if the slave is online (3rd frame). 6. After the address is matched, the L6360 sends its registers in sequential mode, starting from the register set in the 2nd frame. 7. Microcontroller I2C finishes the communication: STOP condition. The I2C frame (configuration, control, diagnostic phases) must provide: ● Slave address (7 bits) ● Transmission direction (read/write) ● Data (8-bit data register) |
