16 / 54 page  Function description TDA7786, TDA7786M 16/54 DocID026122 Rev 5 2.14 HD Radio™ connectivity The ELITE complies with HD Radio™ interface specifications as per Ibiquity's ‘RX_SSS_1108 HD Radio™ power efficient RF-IF and peripheral processing (power RIPP) specification’, thus providing an external HD Radio™ decoder with I/Q base-band signals and receiving the decoded digital audio from it, as shown in Figure 4. Figure 4. HD Radio™ system architecture example The complex baseband signal of an IBOC transmission is sent to the external decoder using the dedicated digital output interface SAI_BB. The SAI_BB supports the modes shown in both Figure 5 and Figure 6. Timing information for the protocols shown is detailed in Table 4 and Table 5. |
