AsboththeperiodanddutycycleofthePWMwaveformcanbecontrolled,thechoiceofgenerated waveformisextremelyflexible.InthePWMOutputMode,thePTnCCLRbithasnoeffectonthe PWMoperation.BothoftheCCRAandCCRPregistersareusedtogeneratethePWMwaveform, oneregisterisusedtocleartheinternalcounterandthuscontrolthePWMwaveformfrequency, whiletheotheroneisusedtocontrolthedutycycle.ThePWMwaveformfrequencyanddutycycle canthereforebecontrolledbythevaluesintheCCRAandCCRPregisters. Aninterruptflag,oneforeachoftheCCRAandCCRP,willbegeneratedwhenacomparematch occursfromeitherComparatorAorComparatorP.ThePTnOCbitinthePTMnC1registerisused toselecttherequiredpolarityofthePWMwaveformwhilethetwoPTnIO1andPTnIO0bitsare usedtoenablethePWMoutputortoforcethePTMnoutputpintoafixedhighorlowlevel.The PTnPOLbitisusedtoreversethepolarityofthePWMoutputwaveform. • 10-bit PTMn, PWM Output Mode, Edge-aligned Mode CCRP 1~1023 0 Pe�iod 1~10�3 10�4 Duty CCRA IffSYS=12MHz,PTMnclocksourceselectfSYS/4,CCRP=512andCCRA=128, ThePTMnPWMoutputfrequency=(fSYS/4)/512=fSYS/2048=5.8594kHz,duty=128/(2×256)=25%. IftheDutyvaluedefinedbytheCCRAregisterisequaltoorgreaterthanthePeriodvalue,thenthe PWMoutputdutyis100%. |
