Single Pulse Output Mode

Toselectthismode,bitsPTnM1andPTnM0inthePTMnC1registershouldbesetto10

respectivelyandalsothePTnIO1andPTnIO0bitsshouldbesetto11respectively.TheSinglePulse

OutputMode,asthenamesuggests,willgenerateasingleshotpulseonthePTMnoutputpin.

ThetriggerforthepulseoutputleadingedgeisalowtohightransitionofthePTnONbit,which

canbeimplementedusingtheapplicationprogram.HoweverintheSinglePulseOutputMode,the

PTnONbitcanalsobemadetoautomaticallychangefromlowtohighusingtheexternalPTCKn

pin,whichwillinturninitiatetheSinglePulseoutput.WhenthePTnONbittransitionstoahigh

level,thecounterwillstartrunningandthepulseleadingedgewillbegenerated.ThePTnONbit

shouldremainhighwhenthepulseisinitsactivestate.Thegeneratedpulsetrailingedgewillbe

generatedwhenthePTnONbitisclearedtozero,whichcanbeimplementedusingtheapplication

programorwhenacomparematchoccursfromComparatorA.

HoweveracomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsoautomaticallyclearthePTnONbitandthus

generatetheSinglePulseoutputtrailingedge.InthiswaytheCCRAvaluecanbeusedtocontrol

thepulsewidth.AcomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsogenerateaPTMninterrupt.The

countercanonlyberesetbacktozerowhenthePTnONbitchangesfromlowtohighwhenthe

counterrestarts.IntheSinglePulseOutputModeCCRPisnotused.ThePTnCCLRbitisnotused

inthisMode.
