Therewillbeatmostonemorecharacteravailablebeforeanoverrunerroroccurs. • WhenthecontentsoftheshiftregisterhavebeentransferredtotheTXR_RXRregister,thenif theRIEbitisset,aninterruptwillbegenerated. • Ifduringreception,aframeerror,noiseerror,parityerror,oranoverrunerrorhasbeendetected, thentheerrorflagscanbeset. TheRXIFbitcanbeclearedusingthefollowingsoftwaresequence: 1.AUSRregisteraccess 2.ATXR_RXRregisterreadexecution Receive Break AnybreakcharacterreceivedbytheUARTwillbemanagedasaframingerror.Thereceiverwill countandexpectacertainnumberofbittimesasspecifiedbythevaluesprogrammedintotheBNO bitplusonestopbit.Ifthebreakismuchlongerthan13bittimes,thereceptionwillbeconsidered ascompleteafterthenumberofbittimesspecifiedbyBNOandSTOPS.TheRXIFbitisset,FERR isset,zerosareloadedintothereceivedataregister,interruptsaregeneratedifappropriateandthe RIDLEbitisset.AbreakisregardedasacharacterthatcontainsonlyzeroswiththeFERRflag set.Ifalongbreaksignalhasbeendetected,thereceiverwillregarditasadataframeincludinga startbit,databitsandtheinvalidstopbitandtheFERRflagwillbeset.Thereceivermustwaitfor avalidstopbitbeforelookingforthenextstartbit.Thereceiverwillnotmaketheassumptionthat thebreakconditiononthelineisthenextstartbit.Thebreakcharacterwillbeloadedintothebuffer andnofurtherdatawillbereceiveduntilstopbitsarereceived.ItshouldbenotedthattheRIDLE readonlyflagwillgohighwhenthestopbitshavenotyetbeenreceived.Thereceptionofabreak characterontheUARTregisterswillresultinthefollowing: • Theframingerrorflag,FERR,willbeset. • Thereceivedataregister,TXR_RXR,willbecleared. • TheOERR,NF,PERR,RIDLEorRXIFflagswillpossiblybeset. Idle Status Whenthereceiverisreadingdata,whichmeansitwillbeinbetweenthedetectionofastartbitand thereadingofastopbit,thereceiverstatusflagintheUSRregister,otherwiseknownastheRIDLE flag,willhaveazerovalue.Inbetweenthereceptionofastopbitandthedetectionofthenextstart bit,theRIDLEflagwillhaveahighvalue,whichindicatesthereceiverisinanidlecondition. Receiver Interrupt ThereadonlyreceiveinterruptflagRXIFintheUSRregisterissetbyanedgegeneratedbythe receiver.AninterruptisgeneratedifRIE=1,whenawordistransferredfromtheReceiveShift Register,RSR,totheReceiveDataRegister,TXR_RXR.Anoverrunerrorcanalsogeneratean interruptifRIE=1. |
