The functional blocks of this device are shown below:

In Figure 1, the functional blocks are depicted. The sensing element for sensing the

temperature is a Si bipolar transistor. The analog signal of the sensing element is converted

into a digital signal by the A/D converter and the signal is further processed by a digital signal

processor and written into the registers. The registers can be accessed via the serial bus

interface (I²C bus).
