17 / 158 page ![]() ST72589BW, ST72389BW 17/158 3.1 RESET MANAGER 3.1.1 Introduction There are three sources of Reset: – RESET pin (external source) – Power-On Reset (internal source) – WATCHDOG (internal source) The Reset Service Routine vector is located at ad- dress FFFEh-FFFFh. Figure 7. Reset Block Diagram 3.1.2 External Reset The RESET pin is both an input and an open-drain output with integrated RON weak pull-up resistor (see Figure 7). This pull-up has not a fixed value but varies in accordance with the input voltage. It can be pulled low by external circuitry to reset the device. A RESET signal originating from an external source must have a duration of at least tPULSE in order to be recognized. The RESET sequence as- sociated to this RESET source is shown in Figure 8. When the RESET is generated by a internal source, during the two first phases of the RESET sequence, the device RESET pin acts as an out- put that is pulled low. Figure 8.
