MEMORY ORGANIZATION

There are two types of memory in the MCP19111:

• Program Memory

• Data Memory

- Special Function Registers (SFRs)

- General Purpose RAM

11.1

Program Memory Organization

The MCP19111 has a 13-bit program counter capable

of addressing an 8K x 14 program memory space. Only

the

first

4K x 14

(0000h-0FFFh)

physically

implemented.

boundary will cause a wrap-around within the first

4K x 14 space. The Reset vector is at 0000h and the

interrupt vector is at 0004h (see Figure 11-1). The width

of the program memory bus (instruction word) is

14-bits. Since all instructions are a single word, the

MCP19111 has space for 4K of instructions.
