19 / 77 page ![]() Electrical characteristics MPC5602D Microcontroller Data Sheet, Rev. 3.1 Preliminary—Subject to Change Without Notice Freescale Semiconductor 19 4 Electrical characteristics 4.1 Introduction This section contains electrical characteristics of the device as well as temperature and power considerations. This product contains devices to protect the inputs against damage due to high static voltages. However, it is advisable to take precautions to avoid application of any voltage higher than the specified maximum rated voltages. To enhance reliability, unused inputs can be driven to an appropriate logic voltage level (VDD or VSS). This can be done by the internal pull-up or pull-down, which is provided by the product for most general purpose pins. The parameters listed in the following tables represent the characteristics of the device and its demands on the system. In the tables where the device logic provides signals with their respective timing characteristics, the symbol “CC” for Controller Characteristics is included in the Symbol column. In the tables where the external system must provide signals with their respective timing characteristics to the device, the symbol “SR” for System Requirement is included in the Symbol column. CAUTION All of the following parameter values can vary depending on the application and must be confirmed during silicon validation, silicon characterization or silicon reliability trial. PH[10]6 PCR[122] AF0 AF1 AF2 AF3 GPIO[122] — TMS — SIUL — JTAGC — I/O — I — S Input, weak pull-up 53 81 1 Alternate functions are chosen by setting the values of the PCR.PA bitfields inside the SIUL module. PCR.PA = 00 AF0; PCR.PA = 01 AF1; PCR.PA = 10 AF2; PCR.PA = 11 AF3. This is intended to select the output functions; to use one of the input functions, the PCR.IBE bit must be written to ‘1’, regardless of the values selected in the PCR.PA bitfields. For this reason, the value corresponding to an input only function is reported as “—”. 2 Multiple inputs are routed to all respective modules internally. The input of some modules must be configured by setting the values of the PSMIO.PADSELx bitfields inside the SIUL module. 3 All WKUP pins also support external interrupt capability. See “wakeup unit” chapter for further details. 4 NMI has higher priority than alternate function. When NMI is selected, the PCR.AF field is ignored. 5 “Not applicable” because these functions are available only while the device is booting. Refer to “BAM” chapter of the device reference manual for details. 6 Out of reset all the functional pins except PC[0:1] and PH[9:10] are available to the user as GPIO. PC[0:1] are available as JTAG pins (TDI and TDO respectively). PH[9:10] are available as JTAG pins (TCK and TMS respectively). It is up to the user to configure these pins as GPIO when needed.
