Operational modes

VL6524/VS6524 has a number of operational modes. The STANDBY mode is entered and

exited by driving the hardware CE signal. Transitions between all other modes are initiated

by I²C transactions from the host system or automatically after time-outs.

Power Down/Up: The power down state is entered from all other modes when CE is pulled

low or the supplies are removed.

During the power-down state (CE = logic 0)

The internal digital supply of the VL6524/VS6524 is shut down by an internal switch

mechanism. This method allows a very low power-down current value.

The device input / outputs are fail-safe, and consequently can be considered high

impedance.
