Some notes concerning the figure:

●

EXP_L and EXP_S indicate the actual exposure time (so taking shutter lag and

exposure overlap into account)

●

The READOUT phase of the sensor (as used in section 7.2.6) is more than only FVAL.

There is some overhead time between the end of GLOB and the start of FVAL.

●

Two DVAL periods are separated by an overhead time (OT). The length of this

overhead time depends on the channel multiplexing and row time settings, but will be at

least 1 word.

●

The OB data of a row of pixels appears on OB_OUT about one row time before the

valid pixel data of the same row appears on DATAx_OUT. The exact timing is evident

on the control channel. This allows external grabbing and evaluation of the OB data

before the pixels of the same row are being read. This way, corrections can be done

without the need for an additional row buffer.

Image statistics data is always sent via DATA0_OUT and is framed with the SVAL bit.

Information

The sensor can be operated without using the control channel. The presence of the

inverted training word on each of the LVDS output channels allows to recognize the start of

data transmission. The advantage is reduced complexity and possible power savings by

disabling the CTRL channel LVDS output, also see section 7.6.1. For more details, an

application note is available.
