Port 6 (P60 to P67)

Port 6 is an 8-bit general-purpose I/O port. I/O can be set on a bit basis. Resetting sets

port 6 as an input port and connects a pull-up resistor. It also sets all bits of the output

latch to 1. In addition to functioning as a general-purpose I/O port, port 6 also functions as

a pattern generator of PG0 or PG1 output. PG0 is assigned to P60 to P63; PG1, to P64 to

P67. Writing 1 in the appropriate bit of the port 6 function register (P6FC) enables PG

output. Resetting resets the function register P6CR, P6FC value to “0”, and sets all bits to

input ports.
