The Configuration Registers provide the following features:

•

Directly accessible base registers for common functions.

•

Paged registers for each of the 5 endpoints.

•

Paged registers for Endpoint 0’s Setup Packet.

•

Indexed registers for infrequently accessed functions.

•

Registers are accessible only from the local bus.

The Serial Interface Engine (SIE) provides the following features:

•

Serial data transmitter and receiver.

•

Digital phase lock loop and clock recovery.

•

CRC generator and checker.

•

NRZI encoder/decoder.

•

Bit stuffer/unstuffer.

•

Packet Identifier (PID) decoder.

•

Sync detector.

•

Forced error conditions.
