An external controller can disable the internal micro-controller by clearing the ENABLE bit in the SCR

controller will no longer access any of the FS400 registers. The external controller becomes responsible

for programming all of the low-level hardware registers.

The internal micro-controller will only respond to the RESET and ENABLE bits in the SCR register while it

is disabled. Changes to any of the other software registers (SCR, HCRS, HCRES, HPO, VPO, HSS,

VSS, HPP, VPP, TVP, TVL, CCR, CDR, HOHOS, HOVOS) will have no effect until the internal micro-

controller is re-enabled.

The micro controller can be re-enabled by setting the ENABLE bit in the SCR register. The internal

micro-controller will begin processing at the same point that it was disabled at. Any changes to the

software registers will be processed. The low-level hardware register will eventually be re-programmed.
