B | Page 74 of 156 TEMPERATURE, BATTERY, AND SUPPLY VOLTAGE MEASUREMENTS The ADE5166/ADE5169/ADE5566/ADE5569 include tem- perature measurements as well as battery and supply voltage measurements. These measurements enable many forms of compensation. The temperature and supply voltage measurements can be used to compensate external circuitry. The RTC can be calibrated over temperature to ensure that it does not drift. Supply voltage measurements allow the LCD contrast to be maintained despite variations in voltage. Battery measurements allow for low battery detection. All ADC measurements are configured through the SFRs, as shown in Table 49. The temperature, battery, and supply voltage measurements can be configured to continue functioning in PSM1 and PSM2 modes. Keeping the temperature measurement active ensures that it is not necessary to wait for the temperature measurement to settle before using it for compensation. Table 49.
