57 / 402 page  PS024604-1005 P R E L I M I N A R Y GPIO Port Availability By Device Z8FMC16100 Series Flash MCU Product Specification 35 General-Purpose I/O The Z8FMC16100 Series Flash MCU contains general-purpose input/output pins (GPIO) arranged as Ports A–C. Each port contains control and data registers. The GPIO control registers are used to determine data direction, open-drain, output drive current, pull-up, and alternate pin functions. Each port pin is individually programmable. GPIO Port Availability By Device Table 12 lists the port pins available with each device and package type. Architecture Figure 5 illustrates a simplified block diagram of a GPIO port pin. In this figure, the abil- ity to accommodate alternate functions and variable port current drive strength are not illustrated. Table 12.
