Reconfigurable array subsystem (RASCFG)

There are four legacy configuration modes that select a specific group of IPs and I/O

functions. These are:

●

Mode 1: HMI automation mode

●

Mode 2: MII automation networking mode

●

Mode 3: Expanded automation mode

●

Mode 4: Printer mode

Alternatively you can configure Extended mode which allows you to flexibly choose the

available functions of each IP individually.

The configuration mode is selected as follows:

To use any of four legacy mode:

Clear bit 0 in the RASCFG Extended Control register

Select configuration mode by writing the corresponding value in Mode_Sel bits [2:0] for

the RASCFG Control Register

To use Extended mode:

Set bit 1 in the RAS Extended Control register.

Select the functions for each pin individually by programming the RAS_iosel_regx registers.

Alternate functions

The I/O functions of other IPs can be enable by setting the corresponding bits of the

RAS_Select_Reg register

These alternate function IPs are:

●

IrDA

●

I2C0

●

UART0

●

MII0 Ethernet

●

GPT1, GPT2 timers

●

6 basGPIOs.

32.3

Bootstrap register configuration

The bootstrap register allows you to read the values latched on the H[7:0] and B[3:0] boot

pins. Refer to the boot pins description table in the datasheet for meaning of the B[3:0]

values. The H[7:0] pins are user definable strapping options.
