350 / 368 page  Real-time clock (RTC) RM0319 350/368 Doc ID 022640 Rev 3 35 Real-time clock (RTC) This chapter focuses on RTC functionality and operation. For technical details about the programmable registers related to the RTC, refer to the RTC registers in the following companion document: ● RM0321: SPEAr320S address map and registers 35.1 Overview The RTC is an APB slave block that keeps track of the real time of day. It also functions as an alarm and a calendar. The time is displayed in 24-hour format, and time/calendar values are stored in binary-coded decimal format. 35.2 Main features ● Time-of-day clock in 24-hour mode ● Calendar ● Alarm capability ● Two general purpose registers ● Supports self-isolation mode, which allows RTC to work even if power is not supplied to the rest of the device. |
