6.3 Signal Descriptions

Many signals are available on multiple pins, according to the software configuration of the pin multiplexing

options.

The following list describes the column headers:

1. SIGNAL NAME: The name of the signal passing through the pin.

Note

Signal names provided in each Signal Descriptions table, (Table 6-1 through Table 6-106)

represent the pin layer multiplexed signal function which is selected via the PADCONFIG

registers. Device subsystems may provide an additional layer of signal multiplexing, which means

the signal names described in these tables may have additional signal functions. For more

information, see the respective peripheral chapter of the device TRM.

2. DESCRIPTION: Description of the signal

3. PIN TYPE: Signal direction and type:

• I = Input

• O = Output

• OD = Opent drain terminal - Output

• IO = Input or Output

• IOD = Open drain terminal - Input or Output

• IOZ = Input, Output or Three-state terminal

• OZ = Output or Three-state terminal

• A = Analog

• PWR = Power

• GND = Ground

• CAP = LDO Capacitor

4. BALL: Associated balls bottom

6.3.1 ADC

Note

The ADC can be configured to be used as a GPI. For more information, see Analog-to-Digital

Converter (ADC) section in Peripherals chapter in the device TRM.
