166 / 329 page  LAN9252 DS00001909A-page 166 2015 Microchip Technology Inc. 11.2.16.17 PHY x Symbol Error Counter Register Index (In Decimal): 26 Size: 16 bits Bits Description Type Default 15:0 Symbol Error Counter (SYM_ERR_CNT) This 100BASE-TX receiver-based error counter increments when an invalid code symbol is received, including IDLE symbols. The counter is incre- mented only once per packet, even when the received packet contains more than one symbol error. This field counts up to 65,536 and rolls over to 0 if incremented beyond its maximum value. Note: This register is cleared on reset, but is not cleared by reading the register.
